zippin'

Topshop biker, Black Milk zippered leggings, Jeffrey Campbell wedges

One of my favourite sets from the mini lookbook I did for Black Milk a while ago. These zippers have since sold out - not surprisingly, they are HOT! Arguably one of the best BM piece I've seen (although, the lace flares and sheer straps are right up there too...) Hopefully getting a few more of his creations to shoot soon, can't wait.

Corinne Day 1965 - August 28, 2010

Corinne Day was arguably one of the most influential photographers of the 90s.

Working with a young Kate Moss on a fashion story for The Face magazine titled 'The 3rd Summer of Love,' which was published in July 1990 and later (1993) on the British Vogue cover story (opposite) the images would define the 'Waif' look and spark the 'Heroin chic' movement.

The imperfect and voyeuristic feel of the images that Corinne Day produced were in stark contrast to the perfectly made up supermodels and photography of the time, paving the way for the documentary style photography that became synonymous with the late nineties and beyond.

that was yesterday

F21 tank, Glassons fur vest, thrifted bag, Black Milk lace flares, Steve Madden heels

Admittedly these lace flares are a tad chilly for winter wear but come summer, they'll become be a staple. Can't wait for the warmer weather to hit, as usual I've acquired a lot of clothing for the opposite season to this one, so they've yet to venture out of the closet into the light of day. So v frustrating.

I spy

Trench coat from ModCloth, Black Milk bandage leggings, Anne Michelle ankle boots

A little while ago I was approached by James (Mr. BlackMilk himself) to shoot a street style lookbook for him. I jumped at the chance - of course - to get my hands on sneak previews of his new designs, one of those being these incredible bandage leggings. For those of you who have been waiting for something like this since the idea was debuted by Stolen Girlfriend's Club in 09, the search is over. These are way better than the originals in terms of design, and I suspect there will be quite a waiting list developing, so get yours here asap!

The lookbook is still in the works, but there will be more to come soon...

eternal sunshine

VG dress, vintage faux fur, Jeffrey Campbell wedges via ModCloth

I miss summer. Wish I could go back to the days when my teeth wouldn't start to chatter the moment I dragged myself out of bed.

Finals are still dragging on and on. Urrggh... this time next week though, it'll be all over. Already making plans hehe...

99 problems

Jeanswest tee, 'Shorty Wanna' jacket from ModCloth, F21 jeans, Anne Michelle boots, Topshop rucksack

Among many things, I have a constant fixation with asymmetrical moto jackets which is why I just had to have this one from ModCloth. It's a very unique take, made with soft sweater material for that excellent slouch factor. It has a retro feel to it too which I kinda love with the washed out color. Definitely a closet favourite at the moment.

Found this spectacular location while driving around abandoned parts of the city. It's pretty effing awesome, despite the presence of corrosive sludge ponds around the place as my boyfriend claims. Speaking of whom, I actually had a go at being photographer for once and shot him while we were there! Am thinking of posting the results on the blog... what does everyone say to adding some man-style on here?
